What this site is
StartupsNorth lists open roles at Canadian startups. It is free to use, for both job seekers and companies. There are no fees, no premium tiers, and no paid placement — a company cannot buy a higher position in the results.
We are not the employer
We are a search layer over other people's hiring pages. We don't accept applications, screen candidates, or take part in hiring decisions. Clicking Apply takes you to the company's own system, and everything after that is between you and them. We are not a party to your application or to any employment relationship that follows.
Listings can be wrong or out of date
Postings are collected automatically from company career pages, several times a week. That means details are reproduced as the employer published them, and a role can be filled or withdrawn before we notice. Salary figures are often read out of the posting text rather than supplied as a field, so treat them as indicative.
Always confirm the details on the employer's own page before applying or making a decision. We provide the board as-is and can't guarantee that every listing is current, complete, or accurate.
Fair use
Browse, search, and share freely. Please don't scrape the site in bulk, hammer it with automated requests, resell the listings as your own dataset, or use it to send unsolicited mail to the companies listed. If you want the data for something useful, get in touch — there is an RSS feed and we're usually happy to help.
Companies and takedowns
If you're a company and want a listing corrected or removed, email us and we'll do it. Because postings are pulled from your public careers page, removing the role at the source also removes it here on the next run. Company names and logos belong to their owners and are shown to identify the employer.
Job alerts
Alerts are opt-in and confirmed by email. Every alert has an unsubscribe link, and it takes effect immediately. What we hold and how to have it deleted is covered in the privacy policy.
Changes and availability
The site is run on a best-effort basis and may be unavailable at times. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed substantively, and continuing to use the site means the current version applies.
